

Arrangements are handled by the Specialty Trophy Committee. They are awarded in the ring and must conform to AKC rules.

Specialty trophies and prizes: Trophies and prizes that are offered for specific placements at the BCCA National Specialty.They are subject to Board approval and must conform to any and all rules that the BCCA Board may choose to establish. Since they are not presented in the ring, perpetual trophies do not have to conform to AKC rules. They are not listed in the Specialty premium list or catalog and are not awarded in the ring. Perpetual trophies can be retired only by a majority vote of the Board. In certain cases the actual trophy is retained by the club. The same trophy is awarded each year to the current winner. They are presented at the annual National Specialty banquet. Perpetual BCCA trophies: Club trophies that honor a specific achievement within the breed.They can be donated to the BCCA by one or more individuals or the Board has the option to use club funds to finance challenge trophies.

Challenge trophies are subject to Board approval and must conform to all applicable AKC trophy rules. They are retired after 3 wins by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive shows. Challenge trophies: Trophies that are listed in the National Specialty premium list and catalog, and are awarded in the ring at the BCCA National Specialty.
